Super cool ghost town. It's like going back in time. The drive is worth it. Try to do the factory tour (ask when you get there).

This is a real gold rush era ghost town. The State of CA runs the Park and preserved all the buildings, so you can walk up and down the streets and look into them and take a virtual tour. Fascinating for history and Wild West buffs. About an hour's drive North from Mammoth. The dirt road to Bodie is closed during the Winter.

Incredible 1870's ghost town perfectly preserved in the high desert. A must see if visiting this area. 1 hour drive north of Mammoth Lakes
