From the May long weekend until Labour Day they serve their own GIANT homemade, organic (read delicious) ice cream in cones or cups. You have to go.

Well, they have homemade ice cream. There are many different routes you can take from Owen Sound to get here. If you travel up Kemble Mountain, you will have an excellent view. The scenic drive from Owen Sound takes about a half hour. It gets you closer to Tobermory but it is not a direct route. Kepplecroft gardens are right there too.

Big Bay is a tiny community 20 mins east of Wiarton on Grey Road 1. Big Bay General Store is located at the corner of Grey Road 1 and Division Street. They are famous for their homemade ice cream They serve unique flavours as well as old favourites. You won't be disappointed. The drive from Wiarton is very scenic with picnic stops along the way. Go for a swim at the Government dock a short walk from the General Store. Or just take in the breathtaking view.
