The saltwater and freshwater lakes provide a calm and beautiful place to retreat for peace and quiet. You can also follow the rainforest boardwalks right through to the Botanic Gardens.

A mangrove and rainforest boardwalk leads from the Cairns Botanic Gardens on Collins Avenue to Centenary Lakes on Greenslopes St. A good place for a picnic, lie in the shade and read a good book, have a BBQ or a try a spot of birdwatching.
