It is said that Prince Yamashiro built Horin-ji in hopes of recovering his father's disease, Prince Shotoku. Asuka statues of Buddha Yakushi Nyorai and Kokuzo Bosatsu are enshrined in the auditorium. The Asuka style triple tower is one of the three towers of Ikaruga. 山背大兄王が父の聖徳太子の病気回復 を願って建立したと伝わる。飛鳥仏の本 尊・薬師如来坐像や虚空蔵菩薩立像など を講堂に安置。飛鳥様式の三重塔は斑鳩 三塔のひとつに数えられる。 拝観料金/ Admission fee 500 yen 営業時間/ Opening hours 8～17時（12～2月は ～16時30分）
