This coffee shop 20 minutes west of Joplin is on the iconic Carthage Square by Route 66. It's worth it just to see the grand courthouse.

Not the closest coffee shop... but by far the best. Though a 15 minute drive, it's located on Carthage MO's charming old town square, which features several flea markets and an iconic courthouse (which you MUST go inside- if only to ride the old fashioned elevator)
