The Palácio da Bolsa began to be built in the second half of the 19th century. XIX, on the site of the former Convent of São Francisco, which was destroyed by fire. Since then, the Porto Commercial Association has been based here. Inside there are many divisions and details that stand out. But there is one place in particular that doesn't seem to be in Porto. We are referring, of course, to the Arab Hall, which impresses with its aesthetic reminiscent of the Alhambra. Where: Rua de Ferreira Borges, 4050-253 Porto

Located in the historical centre, it is one of the most emblematic places of Porto to host cultural, social and politrical events. Receptions, balls, weddings, dinners and fashion shows , among many other events , take place in this beautifull palace . It is also a Conference Center. The places combines several architetural styles, such as neo-classoical, English neo-paladian or Tuscan architeture. Very famous in Moorish-influenced Arab Saloon, with plaster decorations and goal leaf on the wallsand columns, Arabic words, beautiful rose windows and tall-standing windows with wonderful stained glass. Also worth mentioning are the glassand cast iron of Pátio das Nações dome , as well as the frescoes from the libraryceiling or the crafted ceiling of the Golden Room. Palácio de Cristal is a Porto Commercial Association prperty and headquarters. It is a part of Urban Wine Route. As such, it promotes events related to Wine. One can also purchase Port Wine , so characteristic from Porto. This 19th century project is neo- classic style and by Joaquim da Costa Lima. In a concern to promote inclusion, it is accessible, by the side door, to people with reduced mobility.
