Zen Temple with famous rock garden. Ryoanji Temple (龍安寺, Ryōanji) is the site of Japan's most famous rock garden, which attracts hundreds of visitors every day. Originally an aristocrat's villa during the Heian Period, the site was converted into a Zen temple in 1450 and belongs to the Myoshinji school of the Rinzai sect of Zen Buddhism, whose head temple stands just a kilometer to the south.

Ryoanji "Peaceful Dragon Temple" Ryoanji is the most famous and celebrated garden in Japan. You should try,trust me,here is awesome.)

RYOANJI TEMPLE......... Just short 20 minute walk down the road from the Golden Pavillion (or Bus 59). This temple is very famous for it's raked pebble garden. Well worth a visit. It's also nice to wander through the temple gardens. Moderately busy. Admission is 500yen. Open every day of the year.
