Westport is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Kansas City, located roughly between 39th Terrace and 43rd Street to the north and south and Main Street and the SW Trafficway to the east and west. Westport is known as one of Kansas City's main centers of entertainment and nightlife. The neighborhood is home to a number of restaurants and bars, including Kelly's Westport Inn, an Irish-themed bar located inside the oldest building in Kansas City. HOURS: The Westport district is an active neighborhood 24 hours a day. Most bars and restaurants are open until 3 a.m. Check with individual merchants for specific hours. With most of the 30 restaurants, 25 bars and 15 patios located within walking distances, there’s definitely no shortage of unique cuisine in Westport. Many restaurants, such as Cancun Fiesta Fresh, Mario’s Deli and Joe’s Pizza, are open for quick lunches; or sit down with friends and co-workers for lunch at Californos, McCoy’s Public House, Port Fonda and Jerusalem Café.

My favorite place to eat and drink on the weekends in KC! Wide variety of bars & restaurants, coffee shops, shops, and the Tivoli fine arts movie theater.

Westport is a super fun, walkable, bar and restaurant district. Find a place to park and everything is within walking distance. Restaurants for dinner, and bars with music for nightlife, and speakeasys for a nightcap, Westport has a little bit for everyone. Most businesses are family owned, so dont worry about a corporate scene here! Westport Saloon is a laid back honkey tonk with live roots/blues/bluegrass music and Four Roses is their well whiskey. Julep is a craft cocktail whiskey bar with a wall of whiskey that bartenders have to climb a rolling ladder to get to, Buzzard Beach is a crusty dive with character. Harry's has a great patio and stellar service. Kelly's is the oldest bar in Westport. Beer Kitchen has a huge beer selection and good food. Port Fonda is excellent mexican (not tex mex, try the chicharones, chilequiles, chimichangas, and bloody Maria brunch bar. It's very good, but a little pricey. And there is a Karaoke bar called OffKey. just to name a few of what Westport has to offer!
