This is a great quiet beach on the very north end of Payette Lake that has canoe, kayak and SUP rentals to ride up the mouth of the delta. It also has a long beach with sand and shallow water for swimming with kids. You can drive up the west side of the lake for a paved road or east side for dirt road.

This is a little remove town way up in the mountains and pine trees (With lots of rivers and creeks) that is a great day drive if you want to get lost in the mountains. Dirt road takes you there all the way from McCall, or paved road most of the way from Cascade. About an 8 hour round trip on dirt road but goes fast.

West Mountain Road runs all the way north and south along West Mountain, from the south end of Cascade to McCall up north. Its about 25-30 miles and most of it is a dirt road. But it is quiet remote road that runs all the way along Cascade lake, Payette river and into McCall.

Parks & Nature

1026 Gold Fork RdThis is a beautiful local Hot Springs that is very popular.
This is a gorgeous state park in the middle of Payette lake on a long peninsula. Great for swimming, camping, day hikes or bike rides.

No Business Road is near our house and gives you a dirt road all the way over the mountain into the next canyon completely remote. Lots of 4-whelers and ATVs play here in summer and sleds (Snowmobiles) in Winter. You can drive all the way up to the lookout tower on the top of the mountain for full valley views. Spring and Summer brings a wealth of mountain flowers. Can drive all the way over to Council, ID and come back on the paved road for a fun tour of the area.

This is a cool little fishing bridge right down the street from our house. Even if you don't fish this is a great place to walk along the beaches or to put in your Kayak or Canoe. The water north of this bridge is a non-motorized lake only. People actually jump off the bridge in the summer into the cool lake o the north side!

Forest 427This is a cool little fishing bridge right down the street from our house. Even if you don't fish this is a great place to walk along the beaches or to put in your Kayak or Canoe. The water north of this bridge is a non-motorized lake only. People actually jump off the bridge in the summer into the cool lake o the north side!
This is a little day park, with boat ramp and swimming on beach closest to our house on the north end of Lake Cascade.

This is a fun big lake. There are about 19 State parks around the lake for day camping, some with boat access and swimming. Largest perch fishing in the world! Drive up west side of lake is a remote dirt road to get off the beaten path and away from people. Very pretty!

This is the local gas station in town that has a Subway inside. It is the only real store in town that is open most of the time. Has many things normal gas stations don't have like essentials.

Fantastic OLD hot springs up in the mountains surrounded by older log cabins from the 1920s. The drive up there is gorgeous. They also serve Beer and Pizza! One main pool (100-103 degrees), about at 4-5 feet deep with childrens area that is shallow, with 2 small hot pools at about 111 degrees. Very rustic and old. Gold Fork is very close, has more amenities (Seats and shaded umbrellas, no food) and nicer places to sit and built into the rocks. Also 6 different pools.
