Preston Center is less than a half-mile walk and has many great restaurants, shops, a Gold's Gym, nail salons, UPS, banks, and tons of boutique shops, Fidelity, a Tom Thumb grocery store, Hopdoodys, salons. The Corner Bakery is only three-tenths of a mile away.
