This is a great stop for sandwiches and pizza. D'fuskies is open 9:00 - 8:00 Sundays, closed Monday's and Tuesday's, Wednesdays 9:00 - 5:00 pm Thursdays - Saturdays 9:00 - 7:00 pm. It also has a general store with some basic provisions, in case you forgot something. Located at the Public Dock, less than 10 minutes from the rental.

Frye's Corner is open for lunch Thursdays - Saturdays, 11:00 - they run out from mid-March to October. Delicious chicken fingers, wings, fried shrimp, coleslaw, fries and onion rings. Located on the corner of Beach Rd and School Rd. It's the best fried chicken in the area!

Daufuskie boasts almost three miles of white sand beaches. Public beach access at the end of Beach Road and at the end of Turtle Beach Road. The guest house comes with 2 for;ding beach chairs, beach towels and a small umbrella.

Daufuskie has a rich history that many of our locals work hard to preserve. Check out the island's free museum, open Tuesdays - Saturdays 10:00 - 4:00. The museum is a restored church, and right next to it is the Gullah Learning Center in the old school. Grab a Rob Kennedy Trail map to explore Daufuskie's rich history.

Be flexible
Daufuskie has a very small population. All businesses on the island are relatively small and operated by island locals. Hours of operations may change based on the time of year, island events, or personal matters. Our businesses do their best to operate in the hours they market, but things happen. Feel free to reach out to me if there is a specific need or issue!

All island businesses accept both cash and card; not need to worry about bringing cash only.

Food Items
Daufuskie does have limited food options. The Daufuskie Crab Company is open seven days a week, 11:30 - 8:00. D'fuskies Store and Eatery is open every day except Wedneday, however they close at 5:00 on Sundays-Tuesdays. There is no option for breakfast. I would recommend bringing any food you plan to eat. The general stores are limited in what they offer, but do have emergency items if needed.

Vacationing on Daufuskie
Things are a bit different on Daufuskie Island. The island is remote, and only accessible by boat. Please be aware of this when visiting. If there is a strong storm, or a tree hits a power line, we could lose power. Which may take hours before workers can get over. If internet goes out, it may be a few days before the provider can get to the island. I do my best to resolve issues as quickly as possible, but sometimes things are outside of my control. Daufuskie is different, which is what makes it so wonderful. Please remember this when visiting.
