A well stocked grocery store - wonderfully friendly staff, great hot food bar (get the cod if they have it!) You can also pick up your NW Forest Pass, and other outdoor essentials. They update their whiteboard out front daily with info on Rainier park entrances and road closures.

Excellent crack climbing in Washington desert. Just an hour east on Highway 12. Parking in Oak Creek Rec area requires a Discover Pass, otherwise look for parking along the side of the highway. Keep an eye out for rattlesnakes in the spring.
