A backpack carrier or baby sling is recommended for tots.

Rising some 576m above the surrounding countryside, the broad slopes of Slieve Gullion dominate the landscape of south Armagh. The mountain itself lies at the centre of a pronounced ring of hills – the Ring of Gullion, Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB.
A 10km drive around the slopes of Slieve Gullion offers visitors spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.
There is a mountain top trail to the top, with stunning views across the Ring of Gullion, Mourne and Cooley mountain ranges and Armagh Drumlins.
There are two cairns at the top, the South cairn is a neolithic burial chamber, and the highest remaining passage tomb in Ireland, the North Cairn dates from the bronze age. In between the two cairns is the Calliagh Bhirra lake, where legend Finn McCool was said to be bewitched by Miluchra. To this day the superstition survives that if you bathe in the lough your hair will turn white.
