Just a 15 minute drive away this award-winning Park is recognised as both a tourist attraction and a Conservation Centre and is one of our favourites. There are daily separate timetables throughout the day. There are horse drawn carriage rides and a bumpy off-road tractor-trailer ride accompanied by lots of banter! The park provides tables and benches for you to enjoy your packed lunches, or there is a small cafe on site.

Disused gravel pits were turned into a nature reserve which today attracts a wide variety of birds and other wildlife (we have even seen the elusive water vole here!) The shady paths provide an excellent location for a stroll during sunny weather and you have the chance to bird spot along the way. Hides and bird feeding stations provide fantastic areas for some photography.
