25 minute drive from the annexe. Kingston Lacy is a historic house and parkland owned by the National Trust and is located just outside of Wimborne. Nearby Pamphill is a small village and dairy on the edge of the estate. There is a farm shop, farm milk vending machine, tea room and a range of small independent stores (including an antique shop).
Of all the Nation Trust accommodation, this has to be the best! There is a great walk around, through or to the glass house restoration. It also housed the Bank family, the escaped Corfe Castle, another place I love seeing, not so much on a cold winter's day though! All through the year, Kingston Lacy changes, so you must go and see it at least once!
Located 30 mins away, this is a lovely stately home with great gardens and a wonderful cafe.
National Trust Historical House and Gardens. Kingston Lacy is a country house and estate near Wimborne Minster, Dorset, England. It was for many years the family seat of the Bankes family who lived nearby at Corfe Castle until its destruction in the English Civil War after its incumbent owners, Sir John Bankes and Dame Mary, had remained loyal to Charles I
