Sightseeing
Anafiotika was built by the masons of the island Anafi (in the Cyclades), that came to Athens in the 19th century to help build the new capital. They decided to stay on the foot of the Acropolis where they recreated a neighbourhood that reminded them of their island. So today you can still feel like being in the Cyclades islands though you are in the heart of the historical centre of Athens. The views of the city are stunning as well as the Acropolis right above the neighbourhood.
