I saw green velvet here in February. At first I was downstairs for 2 hours having a great time. I thought I heard something upstairs and decided to check it out. To my surprise, I was blown away to find out I was having so much fun basically in the coat closet down below before I found out I hadn't even made it to the main area yet. So much fun.

This is about the closest you can get to see the Hollywood Sign. I would just type 3000 Canyon Lake Drive, Hollywood, CA into Google Maps to get driving directions. There are a lot of winding roads so be on the lookout, but there is a dog park that you may park at because there's "no stopping at anytime" up on the hill where the best viewing spot is located at. So, park your car here and then walk up to the hill. There's always street parking available by the park.

Hollywood Sign The Canyon Drive Trail
Canyon DriveThis is about the closest you can get to see the Hollywood Sign. I would just type 3000 Canyon Lake Drive, Hollywood, CA into Google Maps to get driving directions. There are a lot of winding roads so be on the lookout, but there is a dog park that you may park at because there's "no stopping at anytime" up on the hill where the best viewing spot is located at. So, park your car here and then walk up to the hill. There's always street parking available by the park.
Hollywood Sign! This spot is just a tad bit further away farther away from the Canyon Drive view below but the good thing about it is that you will be able to see an astonishing view of Los Angeles as well. This is a great place to go that I would recommend if you want to see them both but your time is limited.

Take Laurel Canyon Blvd up to Mulholland Drive.
Stay on Mulholland Drive and keep driving.
After you pass Runyon Canyon Park (on your right), begin to slow down a bit and pay attention. It will be the next lookout point on your right. There is a parking area for only about 6-7 cars, so parking can be tough sometimes. Park your car and walk up the stairs!

One of my favorite places in the whole world for it's eclectic and creative spirit, sights to see, and open market of people with their businesses lining the boardwalk all day. There's also a drum circle right on the beach almost everyday nearing sundown. Absolutely amazing. Most everything is packed up and shut down by nightfall so plan for this only during daylight.

This is what Southern California is all about. Places like this you only see on tv.

There's a little beach here in particular that is my favorite beach in Southern California I've ever been to thus far. If you go to Laguna Beach, look for Cliff Street and park there. Then, walk straight ahead, make a left at the end, keep walking for about 3 minutes or so and you will near a small beach entrance. Wowwwww. Absolutely gorgeous spot. This is what Southern California is all about. Places like this you only see on tv.

It costs more money than Ralph's Grocery Store in the other direction, but there are also a lot of great spots to eat around it, including movie theater. Overall great sights to be seen all around there right in the community.
