This is worth the drive from Rottingdean (allow 45 minutes) on a a balmy summer's evening. The pub is on the edge of the river Arun and is a delight. Spend the afternoon exploring Arundel, which is rather special, and finish the day in this jewel of a pub on the river's edge

Alfriston is worth a half day visit and this is a highlight. Loads of good walks around the village, some good pubs, interesting and unique shops plus the CLERGY HOUSE (only open in the summer). Its a National Trust property

She photographed extraordinary wartime scenes and this museum is dedicated to that phase of her life, plus her wider creative life story which is so very interesting alongside artist Roland Penrose. An extraordinary exhibition and experience. DO GO TO THIS - ITS A HIGHLIGHT!

Interesting place - handed over to the Council this place has a good breakfast bistro, great for a coffee or excellent for an evening meal. Crackling log fires and a good restoration example.

New owners in 2016 have arrived with flair, good cooking and a friendly welcome! Just under our flat, this couldn't be more convenient! The home made coffee and walnut cake is to die for and the Moussaka is top of the range!
