Sounds like a weird Museum - but if you love butter as much as the people of Cork you will understand
Museum. Everyone likes butter. It is close to a very nice cafe/bar and to the Firkin crane, which showcases good ballet/pole dance performances.
This museum gives you a really good idea about the history of County Cork and Cork City, going right back to the Celtic Cattle Raiders, Irish Clan Chiefs and their extended families. And it all hangs on the subject of Butter.
If you visit Shandon, go in here! Cork was the centre of Europe for Butter production, many years ago! They have the full history here!

“The Oliver Plunkett - is a traditional Irish pub. Very popular and good. They often have live bands and even Irish dances (check online). It situated right in the center of Cork. You can walk around on the street with same name Oliver Plunkett. The main street in Cork is called Grand Parade - and all small streets next to it. Nice place to browse around. (you can drive to center of Cork and park in any parking houses. About €2-3 per hour; on street parking free after 6.30 pm (in the very center from 8.30pm - you can see that displayed) and Sindays are for free).”
