This is a local favorite! There is a 3-mile trail or if you are feeling adventurous there is a 7-mile trail! Boating rentals are available for a relatively cheap price. Seasonal hours may vary.

Located near North Carolina State University, Lake Johnson Park is a popular spot for students and professionals to get some exercise—a paved, three-mile greenway loop, plus two miles of unpaved trails, draw lots of joggers and walkers (and dogs, too!). The lake itself spans more than 150 acres and offers a wide variety of boats for rent.
