One of the oldest coffee shops, famous for its pastries, chocolates and old interior on the first floor. Check out the view of City Hall. Tram line nr. 6 to tram stop "Marktplatz".

There's a café right above the Confiserie (bakery), which is typically Swiss. Watch out: it can be quite crowded sometimes and it is definitely pricey. However, it is right in front of our famous red town hall and if you get a window seat you'll have an amazing view.

It's one of Basel's classics, you can't set a foot wrong on their menu as everything shines and it's views of the bustling market place are unparalleled. A great place to stop at while you're in the city centre.
