Mendut Temple is a Buddhist Temple which was built by King Indra of the wangsa Syailendra. The Mendut Temple niche became a throne for a large Buddha statue.

Small but beautiful Mendut Temple is. It is worth visiting, of course. You'll have a real opportunity to see a three meter high statue of Buddha, which is carved from one piece of stone. Mendut Temple is not as crowded as Borobudur Temple. You'll have time and space to be a bit released.
