Fish is a big part of Kenyan culture, and yet it’s missed off many nyama choma lists. Mama Oliech offers the best seafood choma in Nairobi, sourcing their catch fresh from Lake Victoria. It’s a welcoming place with a mix of plastic and wooden chairs and tables. You pick your own seasoning and choose from a side of kale or spinach with your fish. Mark Zuckerberg came here on his trip to Kenya in 2016!

Now if you love fish this is where you go. None of that fillet stuff. You get an authentic meal. And of course got to eat it with some ugali
Experience local cuisine. Fish dominates the menu here: the whole fried tilapia from Lake Nakuru is the signature dish, especially when ordered with ugali (a maize or cassava-flour staple) and kachumbari (tomato-and-onion salsa). Wildly popular, the restaurant is considered one of Nairobi's best –…
For local food especially fish. theres traditional music at night on some days.
It's not the prettiest place but their food is DELICIOUS. I highly recommend trying their whole fish (dry) with ugali, sukuma wiki and kunde - mmmh!

“Mezze is a rooftop bar and is one of the only places in the city where you can see the entire Nairobi skyline, including the CBD and Upper Hill. That makes it pretty perfect for sundowners. There’s a small pool, modern outdoor seating and tall fire heaters for when it gets chilly. If you love people watching, get there around 5:30 pm and you can look down onto Argwings Kodhek Road and watch all the workers going home for the day.”

“Great sports bar. Also has a Brazilian style fine dining churrascaria restaurant. A meat lover's delight with excellent salads and good wine selection. ”

“Delicious tricolad cake... very naughty.... also a 100% chocolate cake that is equally decadent. Good variety of tasty food. The nearest i have come to a genuine greek salad (as long as you get them on the days that they serve imported feta made from goats milk and not the local feta made from cows milk) . There is usually no red wine vinegar either but i have taken to taking my own along with me.. :) - reasonable prices. The early morning full English breakfast is a feast that you have to try at least once”
