Stop near here for access to the Cuillin mountains, and a picturesque view from the bridge over the Sligachan River. (Please park safely and don't just stop in the road.) Afterwards if you are not driving you could treat yourself to a few of over 400 single malt whiskies in the bar!

Central Skye A historical hotel, restaurant with park and camping facilities. Great spot to admire our famous mountain range, the Cuillins! Also, great stop off if you are exploring the island on a larger scale due to its location.

Only 20 mins up the road and in heart of the cuillins. Take walk ins for food but always better to book. Often have live music at weekend so check website for details

Currently offering a great brunch service at the weekend with Cafe Cuil. If you want the best local and seasonal produce then definitely book a table!

Further afield now. Sligachan Hotel's location is handy, at the A87 turn off A863 to Dunvegan, Glenbrittle, Talisker. You can eat in the lounge or the adjacent Seumas' Bar ( recommended,) which is convivial and big. Standardised pub grub. Vegan option. ££. This busy venue has its own micro- brewery, other good beer, 400 Scottish malt whiskies. Childrens outdoor playground. Car parking. No reservations. Closed in Winter.
