When you want to see eagles fly and hungry wolfs be fed this is the right place to go. On top you will get a beautiful view over the area from the fortress Kasselburg. From our flat you can walk there in about 3-4 hours through the forest. A restaurant is located right next to the Kasselburg and someone can eat and drink e.g. outside. Music with a water play someone can enjoy inside. Just ask the waitress for it. You will have an enjoyable view over the vulcanic landscape. The dishes are tasty local food in a traditional style. I like the "Jägerschnitzel" very much. You can reach this place also from Gerolstein by using the "Felsenpfad" hiking trail. You could park your car at the street to the local hospital by the sign "Felsenpfad" by following its signs or use a provider for hiking maps to go to the Kasselburg. This hiking trail brings you to interesting places, large rocks (e.g. Munterley), a cave, celtic and roman cult places, where you almost can feel the history of these places.

A must see when staying in Rockeskyll. Just five minutes driving. A medieval castle, with large birds of prey and wolves. And a restaurant and nice play garden for the children.

Der 20 ha große Park rund um die historische Burganlage in Pelm bei Gerolstein ist ein lohnendes Ausflugsziel für die ganze Familie. Der Park zählt zu den vier Erlebnisparks der Deutschen Wildstraße und zeichnet sich durch große Wald- und Grünflächen und die geräumigen, artgerechten Gehege der Tiere aus. Sehr interssante Burg mit Wolfspark - größtes Wolfsrudel in Europa und Greifvogelpark mit Flugvorführungen

Empfehlenswert ist die Flugshow der Greifvögel täglich ab 14:15 Uhr und die im Anschluss stattfindende Wolfsfütterung.
