You can go up to the fortress with a lift from the "deutsche Eck" above the rhine river. You have a great view from above and even a restaurant.

It is a must visit for those coming to the Koblenz area. It offers a great overlook of Koblenz and the intersection of the Rhine and Moselle Rivers. I recommend taking the cable car from Koblenz to the fortress for its scenic ride. You can also access the fortress by rail, bus, or car.
