If you are coming from the USA, continental Europe or other places where you drive on the right-hand side of the road, in South Africa we drive on the left. This can be tricky if you are not used to it, especially when you get to traffic circles or need to react on reflex in an emergency.

a Car is best when you plan to visit places like Franschhoek or Cape Town. To move around in town, by foot is best. Uber or TukTuk's also available. There are no buses in town. Stellenboch is small enough to walk where you want to be.
