Sandy beach throughout, sea bottom sandy as well. Large scale beach, shallow waters, proper for children and families.

Karathona is a long, sandy beach about 3 km from Nafplio. You can walk there on a nice path (about 45 min.), or drive via 25 Martiou Street

For something close by, you can drive around the Palamidi Fortress and down the coast 10-15 minutes for a relaxing get away. It's a very shallow beach, but the water is clear and there are water sports to enjoy.

The second closest beach to Nafplio. Big, shallow and child-friendly. Go to the very last restaurant (to your left as you go down the beach) and enjoy fresh fish, seafood and meat. Everybody is happy!

This is a combination of vast open nature space, trees, beach and a large surface of water. Great beach place to visit, it also has 3 tavernas.
