If you have kids 10 and under then you should check this out. It's full of hands on learning activities. If it's cold outside then the Powerhouse can be a great activity for your family.

Powerhouse Science Center, formerly The Durango Discovery Museum, is an interactive science center located in Durango, Colorado. The museum opened on February 23, 2011 in what was once a power plant. The museum is located in the Durango Light and Power Company building, built in 1892. The plant was a very early alternating current power plant, the power we use today, meaning the town of Durango had AC powered street lights before many large cities in the East.

Great science museum. Take an hour or two and enjoy the exhibits and fun activities for the kids, or adults. Pub Science night is fantastic for adults who enjoy science talks and events.
