“One of the first families to come to the upper Yakima Valley, the Hatten family has resided here for over 100 years - going on 7 generations. Mike and Annette Hatten founded Bron Yr Aur (say "Bron yar", Welsh for 'hill of gold') with their beer-infused pizza crust in 2013 and then worked on building the brewery, which opened in January 2016. Mike homebrewed for over 13 years and he, Annette, and their three children - Zach, Amanda, and Trevor, all left their careers to operate this family business. We have already grown beyond our capacity and are now expanding to a second location called Oak Creek Brewstillery, with spirits and sour beers.”

“This trail connects up with a bigger trail that leads all the way to Mount Rainer! You can gain entrance to the "upper" Cowiche trail within 1.4 miles of the cottage. Avoid the trail in the middle of the day due to intense sun exposure and critters. 1 Head North on N 74th. 2. Turn left onto Englewood, about 1 mile. 3. Turn left onto Scenic (about 2 minutes) 4. Drive to "end" of road, watch for signs and parking lot on the right. ”
