Sandy Beach Park is just up the street, West of Britannia Plaza. An awesome view from the top of the hill before taking the trail down into the park along the river. This park merges with a couple other parks making a huge walkable area. Lots of areas to hang out and bbq with supplied bbq's and tables throughout the Sandy Beach area. Just bring your own bricquettes.

On warm days people swamp here to dip into the cool Elbow river. Lots of folk also launch rafts and inner tubes to float leisurely down the river towards downtown.

Great place to take your dog! You and your pup can swim in the river and walk a beautiful trail. There are outdoor BBQs and a nice playground for kids!

Many little hidden paths into the river. Great for sitting down by the water, rafting, and skipping rocks. Areas for BBQ / picnic, playground, etc.
