If you happen to be visiting on a full moon, you may have the chance to experience a Full Moon Party at the Art Park. During the warmed seasons, they have huge parties with hundreds of people in a truly Detroit fashion that last until daybreak. There is usually a bonfire, music, and art sculptures, including a giant metal globe overlooking the park that shoots fire. You can visit the park during the day and look at the graffiti and sculptures made out of random junk but if you happen to be in town for the monthly full moon, you must try to attend one of the Full Moon Parties. It is really a unique Detroit experience.

Right down the street from Marble bar, the Lincoln Street Art Park is a must see real-Detroit experience. Its a stunning recycled art project outdoor park. Parties happen day and night, or you can just show up with some firewood and take full advantage of the fire pit. The recycling center is covered in beautiful graffiti and sits along side the railroad tracks. Artists traveling from out-of-town can contact the Art Park for permission if they are interested in painting a mural there. I would highly recommend visiting; this is a very special place in Detroit. Bring your camera.
