Hearty food – and lots of it – as well as a mecca for real ale lovers. Fantastic beer garden in a beautiful location.

There's a lovely short walk on the flat going from the back of Chesters at Skelwith Bridge to Elterwater and the Britannia Inn which serves local brews and good food.
