A 3 story woolen mill used 1860 - 1905, then they just closed the doors and walked away. It is the only place known with original machines of that era. It was powered by a water wheel and later, steam. Guided tours and period actors during temperate months. Must see!!! Picnic, Hike - Bike Trail around the lake. A small State Park entrance fee on some weekends. www.WatkinsMill.org

Found in the quaint town of Lawson, MO this state historic park and site is a leaning experience in disguise. Your kids will enjoy seeing how a 19th century woolen mill and home was run.

A well-preserved 1860s woolen mill, this park depicts how folks lived in the era. The park also features a four-mile paved walking trail and a beautiful lake for boating and fishing.
