The Russian Church, an orthodox building dedicated to St. Nicholas, has been a destination for years for Orthodox pilgrims from Russia. The church, built by architect Aleksej Viktorovic Ščusev, stands out with its green dome reminiscent of those of the Kremlin and is surrounded by a peaceful garden of lemon trees which also houses the hotel for pilgrims and the small Church of San Spiridon in Greek Orthodox rite.

La Chiesa Russa di Bari, si trova nel quartiere Carrassi. E' in stile moscovita ed è certamente l'unico esemplare ortodosso nell'Europa Occidentale, non solo per importanza ma anche per imponenza. La Chiesa fu costruita per volere dello Zar Nicola II e della Comunità Russa, per venerare il Santo Patrono San Nicola, molto venerato in Russia, soprattutto dai greco-ortodossi.
