Catch a ferry and spend a day on Rangitoto, the third most symmetrical volcano in the world (or so they say). The track to the top of the cone is relatively easy (although it can be stip and slippery in some parts), and the summit offers unprecedented views of Auckland and the Hauraki Gulf.

The popular summit track climbs through the world's largest pohutukawa forest. The peak is 259 metres above sea level, so you can enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Auckland and the Hauraki Gulf.
