The most diverse of the National Parks in the USA. We highly recommend that you start your visit at the Visitors Center on Race Street/Mount Angeles Road. The rangers can provide and overview of the Park, as well as current information on road and trail conditions, and tides.
Olympic National Park is a rainforest and spectacularly beautiful (although it's not always rainy). 2-4 hours from our house, depending on where you want to go -- this is a really big park.
Many places to go hiking. Stunning views whether you're going hiking or just to drive up to a visitor center. Get up early to get there before the long line forms with other visitors. You'll need to buy a park pass if you don't already have one.
