A beautiful little park right in the center of the city with lots of life. This is also the place to rent inner tubes during the summer and float down the Truckee River. An excellent location to walk.

It's an Island~! Beach and/or rock sitting by the river. Tubing. Various bridges take you from one side of the island to another. A stone's throw from the events on Virginia Street - and part of the Reno River Walk. Numerous events - both under the amphitheater - and across the street--- particularly during Artown month... July every year. Checkout artown.org Movies in the park Friday nights, in summer. Duck races in early August. Kayak races in June, in the sculptured rapids. Tour de Nez international bike races (all ages) in June.

Great place to see during the day. There are lots of events that happen here all the time. Bars and restaurants are close by. You can also swim/tube/kayak in the river.
