The Museum of Modern Art, Rio de Janeiro (MAM) is one of the most important cultural institutions in Brazil. Located in the city of Rio de Janeiro, at the Flamengo Park, next to the Santos Dumont Airport. The museum opened in 1948, due to the cultural and economic context that Brazil experienced in the post-World War II, in which it noted the diversification of cultural facilities in the country, the acquisition of a valuable artistic heritage and assimilation of modern artistic trends.

The building, from Afonso Reidi, is one of the most beautiful projects of Brazilian architecture, the garden outside is from Burle Max, a great landscape artist and you can see a national or international contemporary art exhibition. Nice to go on sundays.
