Many tourist attractions of Cyprus are right next to the sea. Potamos is one of these places, located near Larnaca, where the sea enters the island, creating a river- like scenery. This picturesque fishing village is a beautiful place, where one can eat beautiful local fish. It is one of the undiscovered heavens of solitude that takes the visitor instantly back in a breeze of hot, salty air to how the Cypriot coastline must have looked 50 years ago, being spared from the modern developmental frenzy which has hit all the touristy locations in the world.

Two outstanding fresh fish restaurants are located here where you can go to enjoy your traditional fish mezes and fresh fish dishes. The best seafood in the area.

White sandy beaches adjoin this out-of-the-way eatery perched on the edge of a quaint little harbour. The chef knows his fish which you can select, fresh-caught, off ice.

Lovely setting, excellent fish food! The restaurent is located right on a small river which used to be an old fishermen's port. Further down the road towards the sea you get unique sunsets! There is another excellent restaurant on the sea called Demetrios.
