This is one of only three places in California where you can drive your car on the beach. You can also rent ATVs and use the off roading area if you're so inclined.
Drive your four wheel drive vehicle onto the beach shoreline, sit and soak up the sun and play in the waves all day, then make a sand pit fire for your group to gather and enjoy.
The famous Oceano Dunes is the most popular destination in central coast, ATV riding is about $80-$100 for 3 hours. Call early for reservation on weekend, fewer people on weekdays.
The only beach in California you can ride dirt bikes, ATV’s, drive your cars through the sand, bon fire and play in the ocean
Oceano Dunes: One of the few Beaches that offers Dune Buggy Rentals on the beach, that ability to drive your vehicle right down on the sand for miles of enjoyment and priceless views

“If you like boating, windsurfing or fishing, Lopez Lake is perfect. Don't worry if you don't have a boat- they'll rent one to you. There is also a water slide park and an adventure park with zip-lines and an obstacle course. It's just to the east of our guest house, and only about a 10 minute drive. You can stop at Talley Vineyard on your way to/from for some great Pinots.”

“This is within walking distance of our guest house. American fare, with a great beer list and wine/cocktails too. Right downtown, so you can walk around and shop too.”

“The Pismo Beach Monarch Butterfly Grove is one of only five sites in the state that has counts of over 10,000 butterflies annually. Each year thousands of vibrant orange and black Monarch Butterflies flock to Pismo State Beach, a location essential to their successful migration, seeking shelter from the freezing northern winters. From late October to February, the butterflies cluster in the limbs of towering, majestic Eucalyptus trees flanking a riparian estuary that flows to the Pacific Ocean.”

“Fig Mountain is just down the street - .7 miles away. Pretty much walking distance, though walking back is uphill. We're not big on the food - besides the NACHOS which are huge and tasty. The beer menu is great and changes daily. Paul is a fan of anything dark or nitro.”
