This has a tour that shows the defences of the 2nd largest harbour in the world. There is some very interesting history here with excellent views of Spike Island.

WW1 Military Fort overlooking Cork Harbour. If you happen to be here of a weekend during summer, it's a must visit. Unfortunately, the visitor hours are limited, (Sat & Sun, May - Aug) but the view alone at the entrance to the Fort is worth the short walk from Crosshaven village. Inside is a myriad…
