Historic theatre showcasing wonderful performances/plays by Maui On Stage. We highly recommend catching a show here if they have one playing during your stay. Dinner at Umi & cocktails at Wai Bar beforehand :).

This theatre has been open since 1928! The shows are highly entertaining and the theatre is nostalgic- a favorite "date night" for us. We highly recommend checking their show schedule.

1928 Spanish Mission style theater was once the main entertainment venue of the city of Wailuku. Maui Community Theater, doing business as Maui OnStage, has occupied the Historic Iao Theater since 1984, and has since been instrumental in keeping the theater in operation even during times of desperate disrepair. Maui OnStage has the distinction of being one of the longest consistently running theater companies in the United States. See website for current shows.
