In Cannes, you will walk along the most famous avenue of LA CROISETTE where you will admire plenty of boutiques of marks of cloths and perfumes, chic hotels and restaurants, in particular the famous Carlton, the Majestic and the Martinez as well as the Palace of Festivals where you might take a selfie on the red carpet where artists climb to the glory as they are granted the Golden Palm each year ! Throughout the CROISETTE which is the equivalent in smaller, of the PROMENADE DES ANGLAIS at Nice, we can see beautiful sandy beaches and their private establishments including some very famous restaurants, with in summer, a large number of holidaymakers who take advantage of comfortable transats and umbrellas, while many other sunbathe on a simple bath towel. You can also walk along the new port where you can see the small yachts of the “poorest” of this world though the biggest ones are parked in the famous old port. Finally, it is good to know that the busiest pedestrian street (where you also have motor vehicles), is the narrow and long Rue d'Antibes, parallel to the Croisette, equipped with 3 meters wide sidewalks on both side, for the transit of buyers and walkers, which gathers from the most sophisticated high priced boutiques to some more popular stores. If you have still time, go to the old Cannes city on the left hand side of the Hotel de Ville, walking up the narrow old streets. Visit the shops and climb up to the old Suquet where there is a tower, old walls and houses which dominate the sea, the port and the islands; you can even have dinner in a typical restaurant of the old Cannes, before going back to Nice by the A8 motorway which you reach through the Boulevard Carnot, behind the train station. In less than half an hour, you will arrive at Nice by the motorway at the no. 50 way out. You also can return with the same bus no.200 with which you began your excursion journey.
