The cabin is near the entrance of the GSMNP and just a few miles from the Sugarlands Visitor Center. Enjoy an easy nature walk or a day of hiking. The hike to Andrews Bald is one of our favorites!
No trip is complete without visiting the National Park. We have a list of our favorite hikes in the chalet. If you don't like hiking, try driving on the Roaring Fork Motor Loop. This is the most visited national park in America. It is beautiful and free!
There are miles and miles of hiking trails, but caution, stay on the trails as hikers frequently get lost when they don't. Also Newfound Gap Rd (Hwy 441) through the park will take you to the Tennessee side. It’s a beautiful scenic ride. We frequently take day trips.

For those who don't want to go shopping at the entrance I'd Old MacDonald Miniature Golf Course as well as NASCAR speed park at the secondary entrance to the shopping center.”
