Koronos is one of the oldest settlements in northeastern Naxos which first appears in written records c.1200 AD. It is one of the 56 municipalities into which Marco Sanudo (1153-1227), the first Venetian Duke.

In my village Koronos (homemade food in the "Matina-Stavros" and "Dallas" taverns and sweet in the "Perasma cafe").In 9 km from Koronos you can find Lyonas (food from Vaso’s hands to "Delphinaki" and Apollonas (homemade waffle in "Akrogiali"). It is also worth visiting the “Kalliopi tavern” between Halki and Moni and the "Giorgos" tavern in Melanes

Traditional mountainous village with beautifull small roads and nice old buildings!

This village is in a dramatic setting. It is almost built on a crevasse and there are two distinct halves to it that face each other. On one side you will notice the vineyards which sit on the hill divided by walls.
