Famous for its annual cartoon festival and Circuit des Ramparts, this city exudes cool. Wonderful views from the top of the city and a superb pizza restaurant in the square opposite the indoor market

This is a must see and lots todo from museums shopping and lots of restaurants, in august they race vintage cars through the city and if your up early the market at Victor Hugo is amazing.Angouleme is home to Tintin and the are lots of wall art to find.

25 minutes away - a small but interesting place dubbed the balcony of Aquitaine for its ramparts - it has a pretty cathedral some museums, cute streets and some good restaurants.

Large, train station: Angouleme to London in 7 hours with just one stop / Angouleme to Paris in under 2 hours. Car rental available opposite, with a 50 minute onward drive to Gites Limousin. Great tourist town too ~ lots to see and do ~ small independent shops, museums etc.

Beautiful town 30 minutes away, museums, cathedral, water park, gallery, castle and lovely restaurants.
