Located at The Sewanee Inn, Shakerag overlooks a golf course with expansive views of the verdant valley known as Shakerag Hollow. In the long-gone days of Prohibition, locals in-the-know would visit the hollow and shake a white rag to signal their interest to moonshiners in the valley.

A limited but good menu. We’re especially partial to the steak frites and flash fried Brussel sprouts. The back patio looks out on the golf course and is a lovely way to spend a happy hour.

Inside the Sewanee Inn is an awesome spot called Shakerag! They have great wings, burgers, beer, and a patio with fire pits while you eat / drink!
