One of Gaudí’s lesser known buildings, though it’s just as beautiful as the others. La Casa Milà was declared World Heritage by UNESCO in 1984, and no wonder—this massive piece of art portrays what Gaudí’s modernisme was all about. It’s home to its own foundation, museum, and a showroom with interesting programming on the first floor. Expect to spend some time here. A total of 4,500 square meters of space can be visited, spread over five floors. It’s a good idea to check out the free virtual tour from their website to make the most of your visit.

“It is one of the buildings that are famous in Barcelona with its funny exterior. A tip is to go up a street and take a left and enter the big hardware store. On the first floor there is a small terrace and from there you can see the back of the building for free. ”

“he Parc de la Ciutadella is very idyllic and probably the greenest oasis in the megacity of Barcelona. It invites you to relax, to rebound and to go for long walks, as well as for a picnic. You can also use a rowing boat on the lake. On the grounds of the Parc de la Ciutadella, there are several attractions: the zoo, the Catalan Parliament. The Museu d'Art Modern is situated in the building of the parliament. The Zoological Museum and the Museu de Geologia are placed in the area of the park. ”

“Surely "the" museum to visit in Barcelona. For the artist and for the building. Imagine Montcada Street, in the Gothic quarter, five mansions united to form a museum, lovely to visit. About Pablo Ruiz Picasso the museum is essential to understand his formative years. The genius of the young artist is revealed to us through more than 3,500 works that make up this permanent collection.”
