Climb Mount Adams or hike one of the numerous trails around its slopes. At about 12,500ft tall, Mount Adams is the second tallest mountain in Washington and is nicknamed the hidden giant given that many people still don't even know it exists. South Climb is the most traveled climbing route and has become popular given this route is friendly for those who have no technical climbing experience.

3 hour drive to the south climb trailhead. A relatively easy (was super hard for me) way to acquire bragging rights of summiting a real mountain. Not sure if this can be considered a family activity though.
